Baseball Game Preview: Pearl City Wolves vs. Lena-Winslow Panthers

For the second straight game, Pearl City will face off against Lena-Winslow. The Wolves will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pearl City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Pearl City had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Lena-Winslow put an end to it on Tuesday. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 10-0. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Pearl City, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pearl City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .482. However, it's not like Lena-Winslow struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
