Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Musketeers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Tuesday.

Baldwin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden GIbson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. Another was Caden Thigpen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Academy of Richmond County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will host Peach County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Peach County will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Baldwin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Academy of Richmond County, they will welcome Hephzibah at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
