Kansas came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Sperry Pirates. That's two games straight that the Comets have won by just one run.

Kansas' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Sperry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.
