Amador Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 35-34 victory over the Carlmont Scots.

When it comes to explaining why Carlmont lost, don't look at Willow Ishibashi-To. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Amador Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Carlmont, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Amador Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-31 loss against Freedom on the 4th. As for Carlmont, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Half Moon Bay at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th.
