            Football Recap: Kenston Forest Kavaliers vs. Chincoteague Ponies        
        
		
        
        
            If Kenston Forest was riding high  fresh off their  36-0 takedown of Fishburne Military last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kavaliers fell  24-20 to the Chincoteague Ponies on Friday. The  defeat came about despite the Kavaliers having been up 20 in the third  quarter.
Kenston Forest's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Devin Dunn, who threw for 186 yards and three  touchdowns.  Alessandro Fristachi was in the mix  as well, providing the Kavaliers with two scores.
 Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere two yards per carry. The team can thank  Mikkel Lundby for the heroic effort on defense: he. Kenston Forest's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.9.

 Kenston Forest's defense didn't let  JDarius Davis, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Lundby was especially locked on to Chincoteague's QB and sacked him twice. Lundby also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with 18.
 Chincoteague's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Camaury Davis led the charge by picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs, while also rushing for 52 yards and one  touchdown. Davis showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 64 yards. JDarius was another key player, throwing for 205 yards and a pair of  TDs while completing 75% of his passes.
Kenston Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Chincoteague, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston Forest will square off against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Kavaliers will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four matchups. As for Chincoteague, they will face off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Davis and  Tucker Basnight.
