Cairo had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Cross Creek Razorbacks with a sharp 17-1 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Syrupmakers, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Cairo has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Cross Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Cairo will take on West Laurens at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Syrupmakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Cross Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
