Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Snider Triumphs

With a playoff win on the line, Fort Wayne Snider rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Logan Bugge looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Fort Wayne Snider: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Rayden Morrow and Isaiah Snavely did most of the damage at the plate: Morrow went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Snavely went 1-for-3 with one home run. Those three stolen bases gave Morrow a new career-high. Gideon Snavely was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Fort Wayne Snider's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.

Fort Wayne Snider will challenge Carroll at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Fort Wayne Northrop does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
