Volleyball Recap: Veritas Academy Takes a Loss

Veritas Academy entered their matchup against John Paul II on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Gryphon came up short against the Golden Warrriors, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Warrriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Veritas Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made John Paul II work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24, 25-14.

Veritas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for John Paul II, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Veritas Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bible Baptist Christian on the 26th. As for John Paul II, they will face off against St. Vincent's at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
