Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carpinteria). Everything went their way against the Nordhoff Rangers on Friday as the Carpinteria Warriors made off with a 6-1 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Rangers are ranked 721st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carpinteria hit Nordhoff with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Evelyn Lara (2), Charlotte Stoops (2), Vivian Huskins, and Logan Labistour.

Carpinteria is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. As for Nordhoff, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Carpinteria will take on Channel Islands in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Nordhoff, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Fillmore on the 16th.
