Baseball Recap: Southeast Bulloch Gets the Win

Southeast Bulloch had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Liberty County on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cade Harnage made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Southeast Bulloch is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-11 otherwise. Harnage was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Southeast Bulloch let Ryan Cammack and Rhett Morgan run wild. Cammack went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Morgan scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Morgan is becoming a predictor of Southeast Bulloch's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Kase Dye, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Southeast Bulloch back to even at 11-11. As for Liberty County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Southeast Bulloch will have a chance to go back-to-back against Liberty County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
