Soccer Game Preview: Carpinteria vs. Fillmore

For the first time this season, Carpinteria will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to challenge the Fillmore Flashes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Carpinteria is headed out to face Fillmore after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand Villanova Prep a 9-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for Carpinteria in their matchups with Villanova Prep: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Fillmore made easy work of Foothill Tech last Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Carpinteria skirted past Fillmore 1-0 when the teams last played back in January. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Flashes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
