Softball Recap: Kansas Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Kansas and Westville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Comets fell 11-7 to the Yellowjackets. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 9-8 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kansas has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Westville, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kansas will take on Chelsea at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westville, they will head out to face off against Sequoyah at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
