Preview: Gunderson vs. Hill
The Gunderson Grizzlies will head out on the road to challenge the Hill Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gunderson is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Gunderson stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over San Jose. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Gunderson considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.
They hit San Jose with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Halleigh Klotzbach,
Hawa Aman,
Hermione Thompson, and
Kaelynn Rios.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Hill's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Overfelt by a score of 2-1.
Gunderson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season. As for Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-3.
Gunderson was able to grind out a solid win over Hill in their previous meeting back in January, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gunderson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
