Basketball Recap: Quartz Hill Takes a Loss

Quartz Hill lost against Eastside on January 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The matchup between the Quartz Hill Royals and the Eastside Lions didn't end well, with the Quartz Hill Royals falling 72-58.

Despite the loss, Quartz Hill still got an impressive performance from Ashantee Palmer, who went 13 for 26 en route to 33 points along with eight boards and three steals. The contest was Palmer's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Dabo, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and six steals.

Quartz Hill's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Eastside, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quartz Hill will face off against Hesperia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Eastside, they will challenge Palmdale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
