Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Prospect's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Prospect extended their postseason success on Saturday against Christopher. They beat the Christopher Cougars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 50-30. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Prospect was led to victory by Sadie Slaughter and Kate Barstow. Slaughter dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards, while Barstow shot 4-for-4 from deep and dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Barstow posted four assists, the most she's had since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Anbrielle Joan Mangoba, who earned seven points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Prospect was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Prospect has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Christopher and nudges their season record down to 20-6.

Prospect wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-40 defeat against Marysville on the 4th. As for Christopher, they have also already played their next matchup, a 61-44 loss against Marin Catholic on the 4th.
