Palo Verde Valley's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Maryjane Dagnino and Charlotte Dagnino. Dagnino scored 17 points along with 6 steals, while Dagnino scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. The matchup was Dagnino's third in a row with at least ten points. Jaslene Crowe was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 5 steals.
Palo Verde Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Brawley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Palo Verde Valley is on the road again on Saturday and play against Vincent Memorial at 8:15 a.m. on December 2nd. Vincent Memorial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 832nd, while Palo Verde Valley is ranked 315th). As for Brawley, they will face off against Central at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
