Pocono Mountain West took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They claimed a resounding 52-15 victory over Pleasant Valley. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Liberty ended up a good deal behind Emmaus on Monday and lost 59-40. The defeat continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Liberty's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Pocono Mountain West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
