Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Paula). They blew past the Hueneme Vikings, posting a 79-13 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 24 points or more this season.

Santa Paula's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jalynn Rico, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 18 points and five steals. Those 18 points gave Rico a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Garcia, who went 6 of 9 en route to 17 points along with five assists and four steals.

Santa Paula was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 23 assists in three consecutive games.

Santa Paula is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.9 points per game.
