Soccer Game Preview: Foshay vs. Harbor Teacher

Foshay hasn't had much luck against Harbor Teacher recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Foshay Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Harbor Teacher Monarchs at 2:30 p.m. Foshay will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Back in December of 2024, Foshay made easy work of Locke and carried off a 7-1 win. It was an even better day for Jasmin Mercado as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Harbor Teacher was a bit more limited in their game last Saturday. They fell just short of Banning by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 804th, while the Pilots are ranked 305th).

Harbor Teacher's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Foshay, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Foshay took their win against Harbor Teacher when the teams last played back in February of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foshay since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
