Basketball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Ramona Rams

High Tech SD's tournament run continued when they took on San Dieguito Academy on Tuesday. High Tech SD took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Dieguito Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Storm have lost by exactly ten points.

Despite the defeat, High Tech SD saw an underclassman step up: freshman Poema Strong posted 22 points along with eight boards and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for Strong. Aliya Khalighi was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Ramona didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Valley Christian on Friday, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Defenders are ranked 604th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

High Tech SD's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Ramona, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
