Basketball Game Preview: Justin Garza Guardians vs. Mendota Aztecs + How To Watch

The Justin Garza Guardians are taking a road trip to challenge the Mendota Aztecs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Justin Garza has four straight victories, Mendota has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Justin Garza is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Washington Union: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Guardians blew the Panthers out of the water with a 57-30 final score. Auburn Santos was her usual excellent self, putting up 31 points. Her big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kenya Newsome, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Mendota was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 38-34 to Hoover.

Mendota's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Justin Garza, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Justin Garza might still be hurting after the 52-28 defeat they got from Mendota in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Guardians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
