Illiana Christian dropped down to 16-4 on Saturday, ending the team's 13-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Chesterton Trojans by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
Karaline Kuiper paced Illiana Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Kuiper got some help from Isabella Borrero and her nine assists. Borrero also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Dorothy Leep, racking up three apiece.
