Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland). They never let the Milan Wildcats get on the board and left with a 25-0 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cougars needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Corinne Brinkley made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Brinkley was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, Ella Vaughn was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Delilah Megee, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Highland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Milan only posted an OBP of .182.

Highland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Milan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
