Recap: Venture Academy Mustangs vs. Millennium Falcons
The Venture Academy Mustangs entered their tilt with the Millennium Falcons with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Venture Academy came out on top against Millennium by a score of 46-34 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Venture Academy also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Venture Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jz Lawrence, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 steals. Lawrence is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Kimora Crawford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sarah Digiallonardo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 22 rebounds. Digiallonardo is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nichole Clark, who scored ten points.
Venture Academy pushed their record up to 12-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Millennium, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Turlock Christian the next time they take the court. Millennium will head out to face Turlock Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Venture Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
