Softball Recap: Pius X Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bishop Neumann typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Pius X proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 7-4. The victory was nothing new for the Thunderbolts as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Macy Charf, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Heimes, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two doubles.

Pius X's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Bishop Neumann, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pius X will venture away from home to challenge Skutt Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Neumann, they will take on Fairbury at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jeffs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
