Basketball Recap: Mia Fernandez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rolling Hills Prep over West

Rolling Hills Prep lost against West back in May of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Huskies fell 47-39 to the Warriors. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Rolling Hills Prep's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Fernandez, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Fernandez is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Hall, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Rolling Hills Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Rolling Hills Prep will face off against Vistamar at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Yucaipa at 5:30 p.m. on December 9.
