Basketball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Miami Vandals

The Page Sand Devils will head out to face off against the Miami Vandals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Page is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since December 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Payson 48-45. The Sand Devils haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Miami walked away with it. They blew past the Trojans 73-40 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Vandals as they're now sitting on 23 straight.

Miami's win came from a few key players Page will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Leeyah Goss, who shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. She has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tamia Pietila, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists.

Miami's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48 points. As for Page, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.
