Baseball Recap: Banneker Takes a Loss

Banneker lost against Langston Hughes last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Banneker Trojans came up short against the Langston Hughes Panthers, falling 17-7. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jeremiah Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-4. As for Langston Hughes, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Banneker will face off against Newnan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Newnan will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Banneker surely won't give up without a fight. As for Langston Hughes, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Langston Hughes Panthers take on Lovejoy Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. They are strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
