Baseball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the River Valley Blackhawks. The Flying Arrows were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for River Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Coming up, Lancaster will challenge Richland Center at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Valley, they will take on Dodgeville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dodgers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
