Basketball Recap: Bradshaw Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Leah Kubiak and Lauren Kane

Bradshaw Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 40-18 to the Galt Warriors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the The Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-15 on January 10th.

Bradshaw Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Lauren Kane and Leah Kubiak. Kane posted four points and 13 boards, while Kubiak put up four points along with ten rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Kubiak a new career-high in rebounds.

Leading Galt to victory were Emily Pena and Alexandra Gonzalez Landa. Pena earned ten points in addition to six steals and five boards, while Gonzalez Landa had 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Gonzalez Landa has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Antanella Feilbach, who scored four points and ten boards.

Bradshaw Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Galt, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-19.

Bradshaw Christian has already played their next contest (against Union Mine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Galt has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Amador.
