Softball Recap: Valley Park Comes Up Short

Valley Park came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Orchard Farm Eagles, falling 15-5. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Peyton Whitney made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Alivia Robison was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Valley Park's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Orchard Farm, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Valley Park is taking a road trip to challenge Lutheran South at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Orchard Farm, they will square off against Holt at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
