Basketball Recap: Columbia County Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Elizabeth Yocum and Ashleigh Boudman

Columbia County Christian was the 36-23 winner over Meadowbrook Christian when they last played one another on February 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Columbia County Christian took a 31-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meadowbrook Christian on Friday.

Columbia County Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ashleigh Boudman, who posted nine points, and Elizabeth Yocum, who scored seven points. That's the most points Yocum has posted since back in December of 2024.

Madalyn Fasnacht was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds for Meadowbrook Christian. That makes it 23 consecutive games in which Fasnacht has scored at least a third of Meadowbrook Christian's points.

Columbia County Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Meadowbrook Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
