After losing to Central City the last time they met, O'Neill decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Bison 2-1 on Saturday. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mariah Kallhoff paced O'Neill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Kallhoff got some help from Hannah Hilker and her 30 assists. Hilker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

O'Neill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Central City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

O'Neill has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Doniphan-Trumbull on the 13th. As for Central City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Crofton on the 13th.
