Basketball Recap: Liberty Snags 13th Victory in Last 16 Games

After losing to Emmaus the last time they met, Liberty decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Liberty Hurricanes enjoyed a cozy 59-45 victory over the Emmaus Hornets on Friday.

Liberty was led to victory by Ava Kopetskie and Anijah Davis. Kopetskie shot 45% from the field en route to 29 points, while Davis went 7-for-10 on her way to 17 points along with six boards and three steals. Kopetskie's big performance that morning made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Medina, who posted seven points and three steals.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Emmaus and nudges their season record down to 26-3.

As of now, neither Liberty nor Emmaus have any future games scheduled.
