Basketball Game Preview: Orange Vista Coyotes vs. Rancho Verde Mustangs

Orange Vista hasn't had much luck against Rancho Verde recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Orange Vista Coyotes will square off against the Rancho Verde Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Orange Vista has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Orange Vista turned things around against JW North on Thursday. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 53-40.

It was another big night for Taniyah Hutcherson, who posted 40 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Rancho Verde came up short against Canyon Springs on Tuesday and fell 63-51. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange Vista's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Rancho Verde, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Orange Vista ended up a good deal behind Rancho Verde when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 58-40. Can Orange Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
