Softball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Saxony Lutheran had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Jefferson Blue Jays 9-3. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Jays, too.

Ansley Palisch was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jenna Unterreiner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Saxony Lutheran's record now sits at 6-4. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Saxony Lutheran is taking a road trip to challenge North County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Blue Jays' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
