Recap: Canon-McMillan Big Macs vs. Peters Township Indians
The Canon-McMillan Big Macs lost against the Peters Township Indians back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Canon-McMillan fell 52-42 to Peters Township. While losing is never fun, Canon-McMillan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Peters Township is ranked sixth).
Canon-McMillan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nadia Davis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Samantha Miller, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Canon-McMillan's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Peters Township, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Canon-McMillan will square off against Mt. Lebanon at TBD on Thursday. As for Peters Township, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bethel Park at 7:30 p.m.
