Soccer Game Preview: Carlisle vs. Indianola

The Carlisle Wildcats will square off against the Indianola Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle's last nine matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Indianola will have to contend with a Carlisle squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since the 1st. Carlisle fell just short of Baxter by a score of 1-0 on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Carlisle have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Indianola brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand Newton a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for Indianola as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Carlisle now has a losing record of 1-2-7. As for Indianola, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Carlisle skirted past Indianola 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
