Pioneer kept a clean sheet against Evergreen Valley on Monday. They came out on top against the Evergreen Valley Cougars by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Chloe Crogan and Antonella Vaquerano scored both of Pioneer's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Pioneer pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Evergreen Valley, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Live Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pioneer is facing Live Oak at the right time seeing as Live Oak is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Evergreen Valley, they will square off against James Lick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
