Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory can now relate to. They lost 62-42 to the Priory Panthers on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Fightin' Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Panthers are ranked 18th).

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. Priory's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will square off against Saint Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
