George Walton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 13-4 walloping at the hands of the Athens Christian Eagles. George Walton Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Athens Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

For Athens Christian's part, Parker Westbrook made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Westbrook has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances. Westbrook was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Keaton Westbrook was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Jasper House, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

George Walton Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Athens Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
