            Baseball Recap: Newton Rams vs. Fellowship Christian Paladins        
        
		
        
        
            Newton proved they can win big  on Friday (they won by 11) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Fellowship Christian Paladins  4-3. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 Newton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jayce Yearwood, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.

Newton pushed their record up to 7-1 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. Fellowship Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so Mount Pisgah Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
