Soccer Game Preview: KIPP Esperanza vs. More

The KIPP Esperanza Eagles will take on the More Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for KIPP Esperanza's offense. They came up short against The Nueva School on Friday, falling 9-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, More kept a clean sheet against Summit Shasta last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over the Black Bears. That looming 6-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Their offense was hitting Summit Shasta from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Amelia Lopez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for More and bumps their season record up to 4-0-2. As for KIPP Esperanza, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
