Baseball Recap: Park Tudor Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Park Tudor extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 17-5. They had just enough and edged out the Speedway Sparkplugs 12-10. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Desmond Francis and Oliver Eve did most of the damage at the plate: Francis went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Eve went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Eve a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Clarke, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs.

As for Speedway, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-15. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

On Speedway's side, Lucas Devault was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Beiswinger, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Park Tudor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on the 20th. As for Speedway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Pike on the 20th.
