Basketball Recap: Lower Merion Aces vs. Conestoga Pioneers
Lower Merion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Conestoga Pioneers, falling 54-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aces of the 54-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Lower Merion saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Liberatoscioli posted 18 points and eight boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Liberatoscioli has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Lower Merion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Ryann Jennings went supernova for Conestoga, going 6 of 11 on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janie Preston, who put up eight points and six rebounds.
Lower Merion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Conestoga, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lower Merion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-41 win against Mt. St. Joseph Academy on the 14th. As for Conestoga, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-12 victory against Council Rock North on the 14th.
