Basketball Recap: Elli Jeans and Jayda Bushling Secure Win for Kern Valley

Kern Valley won the last time they faced Chavez and things went their way on Friday too. The Broncs secured a 42-37 W over the Titans. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncs.

Kern Valley was led to victory by Jayda Bushling and Elli Jeans. Bushling posted 13 points along with eight boards and eight steals, while Jeans shot 50% from the field to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Jeans has posted since back in January. Scarlett Russell was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Kern Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Kern Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Chavez, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Kern Valley has already played their next game, a 55-34 loss against Corcoran on the 6th. As for Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-31 win against Kennedy on the 6th.
