Volleyball Recap: Lincoln High Comes Up Short

Lincoln High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Lincoln Southeast Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16.

Haidyn Case paced Lincoln High's offense, picking up nine kills. Case got some help from Kenna Thompson and her six assists. Case was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Bearden, who had four aces and three digs.

Lincoln High's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lincoln Southeast, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lincoln High has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Bellevue East on the 30th. As for Lincoln Southeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Platte County on the 30th.
