Softball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside dropped to 7-7 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 13-2 to the Dunwoody Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-3 on Monday.

Lakeside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Alex Graham, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

As for Dunwoody, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

On Dunwoody's side, Kaz McLoughlin was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Lauren Dowhower also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-1 defeat against Eastside on the 15th. As for Dunwoody, they have also already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against North Springs on the 15th.
