Soccer Recap: Pierce Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Williams

There's no place like home for Pierce, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Williams Yellowjackets by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

They hit Williams with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brenda Granados (3), Adelyn Flores, and Sofia Hernandez Ruiz.

The win got Pierce back to even at 6-6. As for Williams, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pierce will venture away from home to square off against Maxwell at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Winters at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winters knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Williams likes a good challenge.
