Baseball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley lost to Albuquerque Academy last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings lost 10-4 to the Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since March 7th.

Corbin Torres made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Jaxon Foulk was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Albuquerque Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Valley will face off against Belen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Albuquerque Academy, they will take on Hope Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
